Another death caused by West Nile virus

The Health Minister announced on Monday that the West Nile virus has caused another death and nine new cases of infection have been reported in Romania. The total number of infections now stands at 34, while the total number of deaths stands at 3. The 64-year-old patient that died in Mehedinti County was suffering from associated chronic diseases: diabetes, high blood pressure and heart problems. The new cases of infections were reported in Bucharest (4), Ialomita County (1), Iasi (1), Vrancea (1) and Mehedinti (1).
