Trade unions – PSD meeting

The leaders of the main trade unions confederations, including Dumitru Costin (BNS), Marius Petcu (CNSLR Fratia) and Teodor Paraschiv (Cartel ALFA) on Monday discussed with the PSD leadership the possibility of supporting the amendments brought by trade unions to the Pensions Law and the Blanket Salary Law. Before the meeting BNS leader Dumitru Costin said talks would focus only on legal priorities and were not aimed at securing the support of PSD for the actions organised by trade unions. Over 20,000 members of CNSLR Fratia are due to attend a march and meeting in Bucharest, on September 22. Marius Petcu, the president of CNSLR Fratia, said on Monday that he has no signal about other confederations wishing to join the protest.
