EUR 39 M infrastructure investment in Alba Iulia

Minister of Regional Development and Tourism, Elena Udrea signed yesterday, in Alba Iulia, the financing agreements for three municipality projects to be implemented with EU funds, the total investment being EUR 30 M, according to Mediafax. The biggest project is worth EUR 17.9 M and is destined for the renovation of the historic city centre of Alba Iulia and of the Vauban-type fortification. The investment includes the construction of access ways, public lighting and urban furniture in the historic parts of the city. The second project involves the renovation of the flyover crossing over the railway at the entrance into the city of Alba Iulia on National Road no. 1 coming from Sebes. The cost of the works is EUR 4.17 M. The third project has a value of EUR 7.23 M and involves the modernization of the city entrance coming from Cluj.
