Petromidia refinery workers may go on a 2h strike on October 2010, demanding RON 300 pay rise. Rompetrol management refuses to pay the demanded amounts, arguing that the company is going though a difficult financial period, Agerpres reports. ‘The Ron 300 pay rise should have been applied to all the employees on July 1, 2010, according to following the bargaining with the management of the company, ‘Petrochimistul’ Free Trade Union leader Petre Tancau said. Rompetrol management explains the 8-10 per cent pay rise demands of the Petromidia refinery staff are unjustified under the current economic conditions and in the context of the poor results returned by the companies in the group in the last years.
