Table tennis: Romanian women’s team, European vice champion

The Romanian women’s national table tennis team has won the Silver medal at the European Championships in Ostrava, Czech Republic, after losing the final on Wednesday. Romania was defeated by Netherlands, a team that uses 2 naturalized Chinese players, score 3-1. Romania’s Iulia Necula scored the team’s only point by defeating Linda Creemers, the only Dutch player in Netherlands’s team, score 3-1 (11-8, 6-11, 11-5, 11-5). Netherlands’s points were scored by Li Jiao (3-0 against Elizabeta Samara and 3-2 against Daniela Dodean) and Li Jie (3-2 against Daniela Dodean).
