Businessman Dinu Patriciu, who faces charges in the Rompetrol case, was very lucky to gain a six-month respite, TVR.ro reports. His lawyers were able to send the case in Court and get a suspension of the lawsuit, just before President Basescu promulgated a law which provides that trials are no longer to be suspended when they are challenged at the Constitutional Court. As things are now, the Rompetrol trial will be suspended for at least six months. Dinu Patriciu faces charges of embezzlement, money laundering and stock market manipulation.
