A1 GP Romania to return in 2011

In 2011 Bucharest will host once again an A1 GP race on a street circuit around the Palace of Parliament, Agerpres informs. The agreement was signed last month and the race has been included in the FIA race calendar. The race will take place on July 25, 2011, on the FIA-approved street circuit around the Palace of Parliament. The event will be presented today, in the presence of Filippo Zanier, executive president A1 GP, Doina Melinte, secretary of state within the National Authority for Sport and Youth, and Bucharest General Mayor Sorin Oprescu. Bucharest hosted the Bucharest City Challenge auto competition on the street circuit around the Palace of Parliament in 2007 and 2008.
