Bogdan Aurescu on visit to Hungary

The state secretary for European Affairs, Bogdan Aurescu, will take part, today, in Budapest, in a series of consultations on European af­fairs, namely, on the issue of national minorities in the two states, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) informs. The agenda of the talks with Gyori Eniko, state secretary for European Affairs within the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, features topical affairs at an Euro­pean level, in the context of Hun­gary’s taking over the Presidency of the European Union Council in the first half of 2011: the 2014-2015 Financial Prospect, the Euro­pean strategy for the Danube re­gion, Romania’s joining the Schen­gen Area, the Cohesion Policy and the Joint Agricultural Policy, energy security, the widening of the EU, Western Balkans and the Eastern neighbours – is stated in a release issued on Sunday by MAE. State secretary Bogdan Aurescu will also have meetings with Gottfried Peter, the Hunga­rian prime-minister’s chief adviser on European policies and international economic relations, and Balog Zoltan, state secretary for social inclusion within the Ministry of Public Administration and Justice.
