MFP: Public system salaries to go up 14 pc in 2011

All salaries in the public system will increase by 14 pc in 2011, instead of a differentiated approach, according to the latest proposal made by the Public Finance Ministry (MFP) to trade unions, Agerpres quotes sources with MFP as saying. On the other hand, MFP claims that the value of the 1st coefficient provided by the public system’s wage table will stay at RON 600, instead of the initial sum of RON 640. Initially, the Ministry proposed an increase of just 1 pc for the salaries exceeding RON 2,500. However, in calculating the new salaries, authorities will take into account the sums paid in December 2010, diminished by 25 pc.
