High Court confirms validity of Rosia Montana Technical Presentation Report

The High Court of Cassation and Justice (ICCJ) has decided that the Rosia Montana Technical Presentation Report (MTP) is complete and was submitted under the law, a press release informs. According to the court’s decision, the Ministry of Environment does not have to send the Technical Presentation report back to Rosia Montana Gold Corporation (RMNG) this year. ‘The decision confirms that MTP, which is at the basis of the environmental impact assessment report (EIM) was legally submitted to the Ministry of Environment, therefore the project evaluation procedure can continue in conformity with all legal requirements,’ RMGC General Manager explained. The company will develop the most modern mine in Romania, at Rosia Montana, possibly creating thousands of new jobs and bringing over USD 4 bn to the economy.
