Deputies reject motion on Labour

The Chamber of Deputies rejected, on Wednesday, the National Liberal Party (PNL)’s motion titled “The Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Protection, an orange-tinted tool to humiliate the Romanians!”. The motion obtained 145 votes “against”, 107 “in favour” and three blank votes, Realitatea.net reports. The motion, initiated by 53 PNL deputies, was debated on September 15. The initiators of the document condemned the “absurd measures” promoted by the Labour Ministry, criticizing the Government on the grounds that, beyond its “servile” attitude to Cotroceni, it is acting cowardly, waging a battle against defenceless social categories. According to the Liberals, the members of the Boc Cabinet singled out as their targets pensioners, young couples, children, disabled people or those who chose to walk their own way, making an income as freelancers, instead of taking on someone their own size.
