Hospitality industry workers trained with RON 4.49 M

The National Strategic Project for the qualification of hospitality industry workers is set to train a total of 600 employees as cooks, waiters and boarding house manager in the next two years, project manager Gabriela Dumitriu said during the official programme launching even yesterday, Agerpres notes. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the City of Bucharest (CCIB), in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Valcea County (CCIV), the Federation of Cooks of Romania (FBR) and STEF Management Consulting yesterday launched the national strategic project ‘A qualification in the hospitality industry – a chance for a better job’ worth RON 4.490 M. The general aim of the project to be implemented from December 2010 to June 2012 is the improvement of the level of the qualification of active labour fore in the tourism sector, primarily of non-qualified workers, of people with a low level of qualification and of people with redundant qualifications on the labour market.
