BOR Patriarch, Daniel, celebrates three years since enthronement

The Romanian Orthodox Church (BOR) Patriarch, Daniel, celebrated, on Thursday, three years since his enthronement. After a Te Deum was officiated, a synod of hierarchs, priests and deacons served the Holy Mass in the Patriarchal Cathedral. Afterwards, in the Europa Christiana Hall of the Patriarchy Palace, representatives of the central and local government, as well as of other public institutions, delivered their messages of congratulation. At the same time, the Patriarch Teoctist Aula Magna hosted an anniversary programme, which included the screening of a documentary made by the Romanian Patriarchy’s Trinitas TV channel, presenting a review of the pastoral and missionary, charity and cultural-education work of the Patriarchy Administration and the Archbishopric of Bucharest, under Patriarch Daniel’s guidance.
The Blessed Father Daniel was elected, on September 12, 2007, Patriarch of BOR by the Church’s Electoral College, after Patriarch Teoctist passed away, on July 30, 2007. He was enthroned on September 30, 2007.
