Bodies of troops killed in Afghanistan repatriated

The bodies of the two soldiers killed on October 1 in Afghanistan were brought to Romania on Tuesday afternoon, at the Otopeni airbase, where a religious service was due for the same day, Realitatea.net reports. On October 1, around 10.30 AM (Romania time), Sergeant Major Marius Florin Sfeches and Private Cristian-Petru Filip fell in the line of duty, while they were on mission in Afghanistan, when insurgents attacked their HUMVEE with an improvised explosive device, MApN sources announced. A total 17 Romanian troops were killed in Afghanistan so far, while 55 more were injured.
