The Romanian Radio Chamber Orchestra and Academic Choir have started their concert season yesterday at the Radio Broadcasting Hall, with an extraordinary concert offered by the two ensembles under the baton of British conductor Neil Thomson. The event was part of the “Organ Evenings at the Radio Broadcasting Hall” International Festival concert series and featured the reputed organist Martin Schmeding as guest. The programme included the “Little Suite from Children’s Games”, op. 22, by G. Bizet, the “Concerto in g minor for organ and orchestra”, by F. Poulenc and “The Grand Missa with Organ”, by J. Haydn, in the interpretation of soloists Martin Schmeding – organ, Marta Cristina Sandu – soprano, Mihaela Ispan – mezzo-soprano, Bogdan Mihai – tenor, Sandor Arpad – bass. The choir was conducted by Dan Mihai Goia.
