Messi in Bucharest in 2011?

Romanian Football Federation (FRF) President Mircea Sandu promises that the national team will play a friendly game against Lionel Messi’s Argentina in August 2011 when Bucharest’s National Stadium will be inaugurated. FRF will pay no less than EUR 1.3 M for the friendly and Sandu states that he will include a special term according to which Romanians should be able to see Messi playing for at least 60 minutes. “It’s more than certain we will meet Argentina during the opening of the National Stadium. Messi has to play because people want to see a show. Our condition will be that Messi has to play for at least 60 minutes,” Mircea Sandu stated during a show on TV Digi Sport. The new National Stadium will be completed in 2011 and will host the Europa League final in 2012.
