No-confidence vote text, completed at the level of PSD divisions

The divisions of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) completed the text of the no-confidence motion, titled “The Motion of the Many”, which will be forwarded to PSD’s National Standing Bureau and the party’s parliamentary groups, to be amended, where need be, the PSD senator Lia Olguta Vasilescu announced, yesterday. According to the latter, the text of the motion is over 70 pages long. The no-confidence motion is structured in four main chapters: “Why Emil Boc must leave”, “What Emil Boc leaves behind”, “What problems we will face after Emil Boc’s departure” and “What solutions we can offer immediately after the prime-minister’s departure”. Vasilescu added that they were also relying on votes from the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR), after the UDMR Senator Gyorgy Frunda stated that, if the motion was to address social affairs – including pensions, pay cuts, soaring taxes -, “there will probably be several UDMR MPs who will vote for it”.
