Peter Jungen, EEI: We need a regime that would prevent a default

Taking into account the global crisis’s effects, the system in which Europe finds itself at this moment is definitely one of instability, Peter Jungen, President of the European Enterprise Institute (EEI), stated during the annual economic conference titled “Europe competitive and resilient – the way ahead for economic governance in Europe: an East to West perspective” and organized by Aspen Institute Romania. All speakers, including Aspen Institute President Mircea Geoana and Presidential Advisor Department of European Affairs Leonard Orban, pointed out that Europe finds itself in a crucial situation. The conference will continue today too, its panel of speakers including Enrique Baron Crespo, former President of the European Parliament, and Sebastian Vladescu, former Public Finances Minister.
