Bucharest – Brasov Rehabilitation Program – CNCF CFR – SA Campina Station Commissioning

The new Computerized Control Post system (CCP) designed for Campina Station Interlocking has been commissioned and put into operational service by Ansaldo STS SpA – a Finmeccanica Company, a press release sent by Ansaldo STS SpA to Nine O’Clock. The innovative system – CCP integrates the traditional relay based interlocking with state of the art electronic technologies to realize the automatic control and supervision of the conditions inside the station for an increased safety of the traffic, feasibility and reliability. Ansaldo STS SpA is the leader of the Consortium “Ansaldo STS SpA – ISAF SA”, which is the contractor of “Lot 4 -Signalling, automatic block and telecommunication works of the Section Campina-Predeal”, within the Bucharest – Brasov Railway Line Rehabilitation Program, financed by European Union through ISPA program and Romanian Government. The project foresees that 6 stations Campina, Comarnic, Valea Larga, Sinaia, Busteni, Azuga and the block sections will be equipped with the CCP system and ETCS (European Train Control System) level 1.The contract was signed in 2007 between the National Railway Company “CNCF CFR – SA” and the Consortium “Ansaldo STS Spa – ISAF SA”.
