Funeriu accepts amendments to education law

The students met, on Saturday, with Education Minister Daniel Funeriu to discuss their proposed amendments to the education law, some of which were accepted and will be included in the piece of legislation, representatives of the students stated. The National Alliance of Students’ Organisations in Romania (ANOSR) obtained the inclusion of a students’ representative in the committee to elect a university rector. Funeriu agreed that higher education institutions should ensure a minimum of 30 per cent of the necessary places for the students’ practice, according to ANOSR.
