Ion Ruset, a PDL Senator representing the Gorj County, and also an important trade union leader of the Oltenia mining region, “tends to leave the party,” his fellow PDL member Alexandru Peres said on Friday. According to Peres, Ruset was angered by a provision of the ANI Law that forces trade union leaders to disclose their wealth and any possible conflicting interests. “For the time being, he did not announce that he will leave PDL, or join PSD. But yes, he tends to leave the group,” said Peres, who is a Senate vice-president. Speaking about Gabriel Mutu, a PDL Senator of Bucharest who announced Thursday his decision to join PSD, Alexandru Peres said this was “a loss.” According to Peres, the Bucharest senator was angry because the party did not appoint him to any important position, as the one of Regulation Committee chairman.
