The latest exhibition of the “Francis Mraz” School of photographic poetics opened, yesterday, at the Café Verona – in the basement of the Carturesti Bookshop in the Capital. “The third class of graduates of the school comes into the limelight. 33 photographers, each bringing one’s own personality, one’s own vision, each bearing one’s artistic retort, one’s sensibility and strength interwoven indestructibly,” the organizers promise. The works of 33 young artists are on display.

The Romanian Radio Broadcasting Hall will host, on Wednesday, October 20, an anniversary concert, by the Romanian Radio Chamber Orchestra, under the baton of Martin Knell, to mark 65 years since the founding of the United Nations (UN) and 55 years since Romania joined this organization, the Romanian Radio announced, on Monday. The concert features, as a soloist, violinist Ioana Cristina Goicea, in a programme which will allow the public an incursion across three centuries of music, from the “Overture in C major in the Italian style” by Franz Schubert and the “Concerto in e minor for violin and orchestra” by Felix Mendelssohn, to the “Symphony in F major” by Wilhelm Friedmann Bach and the “Pulcinella Suite” by Igor Stravinsky.
