Furadan provider put on preventive arrest

A court ruled to put on preventive arrest for 30 days Cristian Urziceanu, the man who allegedly sold the Furadan pesticide used by pop singer Madalina Manole to commit suicide. Magistrates upheld prosecutors’ request to arrest the man, who is still on the run. The Prosecutor’s Office of the Bucharest Tribunal received last week the final result of the autopsy performed on the body of Madalina Manole. According to the report, the artist “had a violent death caused by an acute cardio-respiratory failure consecutive to the intoxication with carbofuran (a highly toxic pesticide sold under the name of Furadan).”
