Holder of the world’s IBF super-middleweight title, Lucian Brute is protesting toward Romanian TV stations after his bout against Brinkley was not aired in the country. Lucian Bute is upset that no Romanian TV aired his bout against Jesse Brinkley, ‘Gazeta Sporturilor’ informs. The Romanian boxer is also upset that his bout against America’s Brinkley was not organized in Romania as he had been promised. “Lucian was very upset with the fact that the bout was not aired in Romania. That is why he hasn’t answered the phone calls from Romanian televisions and newspapers. He is sorry for not having the chance to box in Romania since becoming a world title holder. Other countries would want to have a world title holder in order to organize boxing galas. We have one but we cannot host such a bout,” Rudel Obreja stated. Lucian Bute avoided giving any interviews to the Romanian press after defeating Brinkley and defending his belt. Bute defeated America’s Jesse Brinkley on Saturday morning, through TKO in round nine, and kept his IBF super-middleweight world title.
