One of the ‘leaders’ of the Roma community in Italy, offender Costica Argint, was expected to Romania Tuesday afternoon, sources from the Ministry of Administration and Interior told Agerpres. Argint was due to arrive on a flight from Rome, with Police escort. The quoted sources also note that Argint will only be bounded on a temporarily basis, until he serves his custodial sentence. In 2002, Argint was convicted on assault, grievous bodily harm, trespassing and disturbance of public order, and was sentenced to three months and six months in prison. On April 12, the Italian judicial authorities told the Romanian Ministry of Justice that they agree to surrender Argint to Romania for the service of his prison term.
