Romania to come up with EUR 2 bln for Nabucco project in 2011

In 2011 Romania will have to come up with EUR 2 bln for the Nabucco project, with negotiations on capacity bookings set to start next year too. “I would say we’re talking about EUR 2 bln throughout the entire construction period. This sum includes the equity part that the Transgaz shareholder has to bring and the pre-finalization guarantees that the creditors demand. 2011 is mainly the moment the moneys are put on the table. These guarantees will have to exist,” Sorin Keszeg, head of Transgaz’s International Relations Bureau told The Money Channel. Negotiations over capacity bookings will also start in 2011.
