Carrefour launched yesterday its 3rd quality line – for carrots, after the one for pork and fresh trout. The initiative was designed as an answer to the escalating food industry threats to agri-food products, the company informs by press release. The Carrefour Quality Line aims at offering customers fresh goods, gain consumer fidelity and foster development of local growers who capitalise on the Romanian natural capital. It is also a solution under the current conditions of pollution, industrialization and product contamination hazards. The Carrefour quality line currently includes over 700 global projects, partnerships with approximately 35,000 growers in 15 countries on three continents.
