Since a recent incident in which a Craiova pupil has been deadly stabbed, violence has flared up among pupils, Realitatea news informs. A 16-year-old schoolgirl at the “Victor Jinga” vocational school in Sacele was stabbed with a knife by a school mate two years her senior. Doctors say that, had the wound been deeper, the victim would have risked losing her life. The incident happened in front of a baker’s shop, a mere 150 metre away from school. The conflict between the two girls began Monday, when 18-year-old Georgiana Marin reproached Ana-Maria Petcu, aged 16, her failing to say hallo. The aggressor was held for 24 hours Tuesday, for illegal possession of white weapon in public places, outrage and disturbance of public peace. School officials say they will take drastic measures against the perpetrator. “She will be expelled, without the right of enrolling again,” Ion Bucsa, the school’s director, said.
