BNR forex reserves down in October

The country’s foreign exchange reserves held by the National Bank of Romania (BNR) suffered a minor negative correction in October compared to September, from EUR 32.579 to EUR 32.309 bln, with entries of EUR 241 M and exists of EUR 511 M, Mediafax informs. The gold reserve stalled at 103.7 tons, being worth EUR 3.223 bln in the context of growing quotations, slightly up from EUR 3.202 bln reported in the previous month. Romania’s international reserves (forex and gold) at the end of October were worth EUR 35.532 bln compared to EUR 35.781 bln in September. Payments on the foreign public debt account – direct or as sovereign guarantees – falling due in November 2010 amount to EUR 1.629 bln.
