September average pay up RON 1

The average net salary was of RON 1,340 in September, up RON 1, i.e. 0.1 per cent, against August, and 1.4 per cent as compared to y/y figure, the National Institute for Statistics (INS) reported, with salaries in the petrol and gas drilling, and hotel and restaurant sector at the highest and lowest end of the scale, with 4,022 RON and 787 RON respectively. Last September, the national average salary before tax remained unchanged at RON 1,846. The crude oil and natural gas sector saw the highest rise, 38.8 per cent. The education sector, health and social assistance too witnessed some pay hikes, albeit small, 5.3 per cent and 0.1 per cent namely.
