Rompetrol to open 170 gas local stations in four years

Rompetrol will expand its chain of gas stations in Romania by 170 in the next four years, Saduokhas Meraliyev, the group’s general manager, stated for ‘Adevarul’ daily. The expansion strategy continues although the company’s Kazakh bosses state that buying Rompetrol was a mistake. Meraliyev pointed out however that the plan to modernize the Petromidia refinery, a plan that will see its refining capacity grow from 3.7 million tons per year to 5 million tons, will be completed in October 2011.
