Rompetrol wins first lawsuit against Finance Ministry

The oil group won a lawsuit through which the Finance Ministry challenged the first capital increase in the Petromidia refinery, money.ro reports. The Constanta Tribunal gave a verdict favourable to Rompetrol, in a lawsuit concerning a capital increase of RON 329 M operated by the refinery on August 19. On September 10, ANAF distrained a number of assets (lands and oil equipment) belon­ging to Rompetrol Rafinare and its stakes in several subsidiaries, in order to prevent it from estranging the respective assets, as the company has overdue debts resulting from corporate bonds that reached maturity.
