Scandal within Lower Chamber goes on

The scandal within the Chamber of Deputies continued on Monday, as the opposition parties refused to attend works if speaker Roberta Anastase was to preside the plenum. The plenum started one hour late, due to parties’ consultations yesterday. At the very beginning of the works, PSD deputies’ vice-leader Bogdan Niculescu Duvaz announced that PSD MPs would not take part to the plenum, as Roberta Anastase was to chair the meeting. In his turn, liberal deputies’ leader, Calin Popescu Tariceanu, showed a paper on which it was written: ‘Resignation. 80 is not equal to 170’. He noted that yesterday there are two months since the vote on pensions’ law. The liberals and the social-democrats left the plenum.
