Democrat-Liberals will hold elections Sunday for the leadership of the Bucharest branch of their party. So far, Democratic Liberal Party (PDL) Executive Secretary Elena Udrea has been the only aspirant registered for the top position with the Bucharest organization. Sources with the party told Hotnews.ro that the elections are expected to be uneventful, as Udrea is already been held as the organization’s next president, a most important position in the party’s central leadership election, given the organization producing the largest number of delegates at the party congress. Currently, Elena Udrea is interim president of the Bucharest organization, a position to which she was appointed by Emil Boc.
