Chamber’s amendment on independents, constitutional

The Constitutional Court declared constitutional the modifications of the Lower Chamber’s Regulations in reference to the founding of the independents’ group, thus rejecting the notification filed by 75 MPs.
The Court found that the two modifications to the Regulations do not violate constitutional provisions. The National Liberal Party (PNL)’s parliamentary group in the Chamber of Deputies filed, at the Constitutional Court, a notification regarding two resolutions adopted by this legislative body by which the Chamber’s Regulations were altered, the leader of the group, Calin Popescu Tariceanu, announced, at the time.
