New squabbles between PDL MPs

MEP Cristian Preda replied to Gheorghe Flutur’s remark, to the effect that the MEP’s blog postings denoted a literary talent, arguing, ironically, that it is more difficult to write actual texts than to write using sheep on hills. The MEP starts from the statement of the deputy president of the Democratic Liberal Party (PDL), who argued that “Mr. Preda’s literary talent was reflected, these days, in his blog postings.” “I will not insist upon Mr. Flutur’s opinion about blogs. He, as other politicians, refuses to see that the blog is a means. The stake is freedom of expression, not the medium which bears the message. It is true, admittedly, that writing postings on blogs is somewhat more difficult than writing in sheep on the hills,” Preda commented, ironically, evoking the gesture of the head of the Suceava County Council, which had his subordinates write “Bucovina” on a hill, during the presidential electoral campaign, using sheep enclosures. Gheorghe Flutur refrained from commenting, on Monday, on the critical remarks regarding Roberta Anastase made, from within party, by MEP Cristian Preda, in an interview to EVZ. “Mr. Preda’s literary talent was reflected, these days, in his blog postings. No comment,” Flutur contented himself with saying.

MEP Cristian Preda had stated, in an interview to ‘Evenimentul zilei’, that PDL does not have the courage to sanction Roberta Anastase for the way in which she counted the votes on the pension law and, in reference to the Speaker of the Chamber, he stated she was “a face among the hundreds of faces who thought one could fake the roll call.”
