Hackers post offensive remarks on Basescu, Boc on institution website

The Timis Anti-Organized Crime Brigade law-enforcers made two house calls yesterday, trying to track several hackers who broke into the Timis County School Inspectorate and posted offensive remarks addressed to Traian Basescu and Emil Boc. An 18-year-old was detained and is under investigation for committing computer-assisted crimes and, if found guilty, is liable of a 3 to 15 years’ prison sentence. The Timis County Police Inspectorate was broken into by several unidentified hackers last week. Based on preliminary information, the culprits seem to be three high school students from Timisoara. The Inspectorate took prompt action, blocking the website, and filed a criminal complaint against the students.
