The Democratic Liberal Party (PDL) has not given up on the idea of an alliance with the Liberals, and “PDL’s door remains wide open, for right wing-parties to come together,” the party’s prime deputy president, Theodor Stolojan, stated, yesterday, on RFI. The Democrat-Liberal’s statement comes in the context in which several figures within the party have made offers to the National Liberal Party (PNL) lately, but Liberals refused an alliance with the ruling party. “Liberals feel strong now, but let us remember we’ve still got one year and a half until the local elections and almost two years to go until the general elections, so they’ve got plenty of time to change their mind,” the prime deputy president of PDL added.
