First international bowling tournament in Romania

IDM Bucharest International Bowling Open, the first international open bowling tournament in Romania, started in Bucharest, Monday, an event sponsored by the World Tenpin Bowling Association (WTBA) and the European Tenpin Bowling Federation (ETBF), Agerpres reports. The 10,000 euro competition is being held at Bucharest’s IDM Club Novem­ber 22-28, with over 40 professional players from European championships and the US competing. Among them, World Top 50 players Zara Gilles, Stuart Williams and Matt Miller of Great Britain, David Canady, bronze medallist at the 2009 European Championships, and Brian Voss, ranked 13th worldwide and PBA National Championship winner.
