The Competition Council fined with RON 4.2 M (about EUR 980,000) seven companies that submitted rigged offers in a tender held by the National House of Pensions and other Social Insurance Benefits (CNPAS) in 2008, in view of awarding balneal treatment vouchers in the Baile Olanesti spa, the competition watchdog writes in a press release sent to Agerpres on Tuesday. According to the release, during a probe launched last year, the Council discovered a secret agreement between seven companies of Baile Olanesti, over the number of places and prices each of them would provide in the tender. The seven companies fined by the Competition Council are: Olanesti Riviera SA, Sind Romania SRL, Barreco Lary SRL, Omicron SRL, Tour Alice SRL, Hodo SRL and Nex SRL.
