False doctor hired at Tulcea Emergency Hospital

Ali Marius Ghiulser was hired as a doctor at the Tulcea County Hospital, although he had passed only three exams at the Medical School: in PE, English and Computer Science, “Adevarul” reports. In late September, the so-called doctor went to apply for a job at the Tulcea Hospital. The manager of the medical unit, Ion Popescu, welcomed him. “We’re in dire need of doctors,” he explained. Furthermore, when hired, Ali Marius Ghiulser produced all the necessary documents, including Xerox copies of his B. Med. Degree, dating from October 11, 2005, issued by the “Ovidius” University of Constanta – the Faculty of Medicine, as well as several authorisations issued by the Ministry of Public Health. Although the manager did not notice anything suspicious, all the documents were forged.

The false doctor tried, on November 2, to get a position at the Macin hospital as well and asked to be allowed to work shifts. The manager Florentin Grozea found an irregularity in the documents and notified the Public Health Department and the College of Physicians. Hence, the false doctor ended up in court.
