Opposition Social-Democrat Party (PSD) leader Victor Ponta will be in Strasbourg today for meetings with the head of the European Parliament’s Socialist-Democrat group leader Martin Schulz and other members of the group, according to a press release quoted by Agerpres. The release notes that Ponta wants to inform the MEPs about the “repeated violation of Romanian Constitution and laws by the current ruling coalition.” “After informing the embassies of EU and NATO states, the PSD leader will directly inform European Union partners about this abuse and will announce the joint actions that will be undertaken,” the document reads.
