Most Romanians (59 per cent) believe lawmakers elected in the uninominal voting system represent them worse than those elected on lists, according to a survey by CCSB, ordered by Pro Democratia Association. Only 24 per cent of those interviewed said they were more satisfied with how their interests are represented by directly elected politicians.
The survey, conducted November 18-21, also shows that most Romanians don’t know what lawmaker represents their constituency in Parliament. (A. I.)
