According to the director of the Romanian Applied Seismology Institute, Victorin Toader, there have been 16 earthquakes in the past two days. “We are going through the year’s seismic peak period. Up to November 11, we’ve had one or two earthquakes daily, then there was a break, and, since November 14, they are on again. The highest number of quakes occurred on November 23 and 24, eight on each day. These have been, generally speaking, light quakes, under two degrees,” Toader explained, for “Adevarul”.
