Romanian weightlifters won Tuesday three more silver medals and three bronzes at the European Junior and under-23 Weightlifting Championships. After junior Elena Ramona Andries won gold (snatch) and two silvers (clean and jerk and combined), in the 48 kgs weight division, junior Ionut Florea Croitoru too fetched bronze in snatch (110 kilos) and clean and jerk (132 kgs) in the 56 kgs class and silver in combined (232 kgs), Agerpres reports. Also in the 56 kgs division, under-23, Gabriel Olaru got the bronze in snatch (106 kgs), silver in clean and jerk (134 kgs), similarly to Polish champion Maciej Przepiorkiewicz, whose weight was 50 grams les than the Romanian’s, and silver in combined (240 kgs). In 58 kgs, junior Elena Parfene finished 6th in snatch (81 kgs), clean and jerk (96 kgs) and combined (177 kgs). In 62 kgs men’s juniors, Razvan Nicoara came 5th in snatch 9(13 kgs), clean and jerk (137 kgs) and combined (250 kgs).
