UCM Resita has qualified for the last-16 stage of the men’s EHF European Cup after losing at home its return leg against SPR Orlen Wisla Plock, score 23-26. The Romanians coached by Gligore Czari qualified on aggregate, having won the first leg at a four-goal difference (34-30). Romanian men’s Stiinta Municipal Dedeman Bacau qualified for the last-16 stage of the Challenge Cup after defeating Belgium’s Initia Hasselt at home, score 31-29 (14-12), the game counting for the return leg of the third round fixture. Stiinta had won the first leg too, score 33-25.
