INS: Managers estimate 7 pc drop in industrial output

Romanian companies’ managers have estimated a 7 per cent drop in industrial output November through January, a 9 per cent drop on the retail segment, with the single segment predicted to increase by 1 per cent being the service one, according to a release of the National Institute of Statistics (INS) to Agerpres on Monday. The prices for industrial products will increase by 11 per cent, with the number of employees to be cut by 11 per cent in all the sectors of the processing industry (with the cut to reach up to 15 percent in the case of large enterprises, with more than 500 employees).
