Ana Holding, the group led by Gheorghe Copos, has turned 20, a press communiqué remitted to the editorial office informs. At first the company offered panification and pastry products. Later it founded ANA Electronic, sole distributor of Samsung electronic products. In 1996 ANA Holding became sole shareholder of the Pitesti-based ANA IMEP plant, one of the top four European producers of electric micro-motors. ANA Hotels was founded that same year, a group that currently includes the Athenee Palace Hilton and Crowne Plaza hotels in Bucharest, the Europa and Astoria hotels in Eforie Nord, the Sport, Bradul and Poiana hotels in Poiana Brasov. In 2000 the Holding started expanding its operations in the cable railway sector, establishing ANA Teleferic. Apart from the food, hotel and electrotechnical industries, the Holding is currently involved in national and international road transportation, industrial maintenance, fitness services, yachting, port services and nautical sports, constructions and real-estate investments. Ana Holding has been Rapid Bucharest FC’s financer since 1993.
