Ford Craiova gets new CEO in January

The CEO of Ford Craiova and the Chairman of the Board of Ford Romania, Dioni Campos san Onofre, will be replaced on January 1 by the current director of the new markets division of Ford of Europe, Jan Gijsen, the company informed by press release yesterday. At the same time, Gijsen will be in charge of relations between Ford of Europe and the Ford Otosan plant, joint venture held by Ford in Turkey. Gijsen will supervise the development of the Ford plant operations in Craiova, nearing the launch of new products and maximum output. The in-coming CEO has been with Ford for a total of 30 years, in numerous leading positions from production engineering, embossing and bodywork to plant and operations manager. Campos san Onofre will take over as CEO in charge of production at the Ford plant in Valencia, Spain. ‘The last three years have been an amazing experience to me and I am honoured for having had the chance to be a part of the Craiova project from the very beginning. I am also proud of having launched the first Ford motor-vehicle assembled in Romania, together with my team’, Campos states in the press release.
