The Romanian women’s national handball team defeated Germany on Wednesday evening in Hildesheim in what was its last test game before the start of the European Championship in Norway and Denmark on December 6, score 31-30 (17-16 at half time). After losing to Germany on Tuesday in Salzgitter (27-31), the team coached by Radu Voina controlled the game from the start and was in the lead for most of the time. Germany managed to equalize toward the end (30-30, 59th minute), but Melinda Geiger scored the winning goal 37 seconds before the final whistle. There were 1,384 fans in the stands.
